How does communication work during my move?

  • We make it simple – you only need to contact the Usisaat office.
  • We will keep you continuously updated throughout the entire process.

Which documents do I need to send to Usisaat when moving to/from Europe (including Denmark)?

  • Completed customs declaration (both sides must be signed)
  • Copy of your passport
  • Residence certificate from Greenland (no older than 3 months)
  • New residence certificate from the municipality of your new address (after arrival)
  • Any required import/export permits (e.g., for firearms or CITES-regulated goods)

How is payment for the move handled?

  • Payment must be completed no later than 1 week before the packing date.
  • Private customers must pay in advance.
  • If your employer is paying, we must receive a purchase order/authorization from them.

What requires special permits?

You are responsible for obtaining permits for items such as:

  • Firearms – Contact: Police (Greenland and Denmark)
  • Ammunition – Contact: Police (Greenland and Denmark)
  • Batteries (e.g., e-bike batteries) – Contact Usisaat
  • Skulls and antlers – CITES permit required for residents

When should I book my move?

  • We recommend booking 2–4 weeks before your moving date.
  • During peak season, we recommend booking even earlier.

How do I get a quote?

  • Contact us with information about your address, the volume of goods, and your preferred moving date.
  • We can also arrange an on-site inspection/survey.
