Unpacking – Frequently asked questions
When should I unpack my belongings?
Once your belongings have been delivered, you are generally responsible for unpacking them yourself.
What should I do if I discover damage to my belongings?

within 3 business days after unpacking.
We will assist you with the claims process and further handling.
Can empty moving boxes be collected?
Yes, in Greenland we offer collection of empty moving boxes within 14 days after delivery.
Please note: This service is not available in Denmark.
What should I do if I have moved to Denmark?
You must send your new certificate of residence to the Usisaat office.
The certificate should be submitted approximately one week before the vessel arrives at the port.
This is necessary to release your goods and properly complete the relocation process.
📦 Delivery and Inspection
Check all delivered items during unpacking.
Compare the items with any inventory list or packing list.
Record any visible damage at the time of delivery.
⏱ Deadlines (Important)
Damage must be reported within 3 business days.
Late reporting may affect your eligibility for compensation.
🚪 Access and Installation
You are responsible for assembling and positioning furniture yourself.
Connection of appliances and electronic equipment is not included.
Additional assistance can be arranged by agreement.
📦 Disposal of Packing Materials
In Denmark, you are responsible for disposing of packing materials.
In Greenland, collection can be arranged (as described above).
🔐 Responsibility After Delivery
Responsibility for the goods transfers to you once delivery has been completed.
It is therefore important to inspect your belongings as soon as possible.
